The Higher Secondary Education Council has announced the start of reading and examination in the semester system in the education system of the state. On this Thursday, the President of Higher Secondary Education Sangsad Dr. Chiranjeev Bhattacharya gave a detailed speech about the semester system of higher secondary examination through a press conference. In this regard, he said, from the next academic year, the semester system will be started in the field of higher secondary reading and examination. In the current year i.e. in the year 2024, all the candidates who have given the secondary examination after the release of the results, they will pass the secondary examination and start studying in the semester system when they are admitted to the 11th class.
Candidates admitted in class 11th this year will give class 11th exam and higher secondary exam in class 12th through semester system. The Higher Secondary Examination will be conducted for Class XI and XII candidates through a total of four semesters. Pass or fail of the candidates will be determined based on the marks obtained in each examination. Test method
❖ Total 4 Semester Examinations will be conducted in Class XI and XII. 1st and 2nd Semester in Class XI. 3rd and 4th Semester in Class XII. 11th and 12th class total 4 semesters.
❖ Class XI marksheet will be prepared by combining the first and second semester marks. Similarly in Class XII marksheet will be prepared by combining the marks of third and fourth semesters.
❖ In case of class XI, the first semester will have only MCQ questions and the second semester will have other major questions including SAQ. Similarly at the beginning of class 12th i.e. in third semester there will be only MCQ questions and in fourth semester there will be other major questions including SAQ.
